New AusPost partnership brings Parcel Locker option to Cotton On checkouts

Cotton On has partnered with Australia Post to integrate Parcel Lockers directly into its online checkout, giving customers more flexibility over where they receive their orders.

The retailer has added Australia Post’s Parcel Locker widget to its checkout experience, allowing customers to select a locker as their preferred delivery location while completing their purchase.

The integration forms part of a broader partnership between the two companies spanning ecommerce technology, retail media and customer incentives, aimed at encouraging greater use of out-of-home delivery.

Australia Post General Manager Enterprise Brand and Retail Marketing Aimee Dixon said delivery had become an increasingly important part of the ecommerce experience.

“The delivery experience has become an increasingly important part of the online shopping journey, and customers are looking for delivery options that fit around their lives,” Dixon said.

“By integrating Parcel Lockers directly into the checkout experience, we’re making it easier for customers to choose a delivery option that offers greater convenience and flexibility, while helping retailers deliver a better end-to-end customer experience.”

The partnership is being supported by a campaign across Australia Post and Cotton On’s owned channels, including EDMs, social media, retail screens, Parcel Locker advertising and Cotton On’s digital assets.

Until August 30, customers who select a Parcel Locker when checking out with Cotton On will also go into the draw to win one of five $5,000 Cotton On wardrobes, while the broader campaign will continue through to October.

Cotton On Head of Digital (Southern) Danielle Jenkins said the integration was designed to give customers greater control over how they receive online purchases.

“We’re always looking for ways to make life easier for our customers. Whether they’re busy, live regionally, or just want more flexibility, Australia Post Parcel Lockers give them a convenient way to collect their order when it suits them,” Jenkins said.

“Offering this through cottonon.com.au felt like a natural next step in improving that experience.”

The partnership brings the promotion of alternative delivery options directly into Cotton On’s online purchasing journey, as retailers look to provide customers with greater choice over how and where their orders are delivered.
